Mature Student Award

Mature Student Awards
We offer two student awards each academic year.
Awards of $2,200 for the academic year 2014 - 2015 will be available in two installments: half in August, 2014 on confirmation of acceptance in an accredited university or college, and the balance in December, 2014. The successful applicant will be contacted in June, 2014.
Terms of reference for award:
The award is open to a female applicant, who is a Canadian Citizen and at the time of receiving the award, a resident of Truro, the County of Colchester or District of East Hants.
Applicant must have been out of High School for at least three years.
Applicant must be conditionally accepted in a degree granting program of studies and must have enrolled as a full-time student for the coming academic year.
Applicant may apply during any year of her degree granting program.
An applicant may re-apply for this award if an application during the previous year was not successful. The fact that another year of a degree granting program has been completed will not affect eligibility for the award.
Until all the questions on the application form are answered, and all requirements (including number 19 and number 20) are completed, your request for an award cannot be considered.
The decision of the Awards Committee of the Truro Branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women will be final.
